Rector Ilshat Gafurov and Vice-Rector for Education Timirkhan Alishev met with representatives of the Ministry of Education and Science of Kyrgyzstan

The talks were organized on November 17.

The Kazanian delegates were welcomed by First Deputy Minister of Education and Science Kalysbek Shadykhanov and his colleagues.

The sides discussed some interim results of the agreements reached in June 2021. During that previous meeting, KFU and Kyrgyzstani counterparts talked about undergraduate, graduate and PhD programs for local students; organizing special grades in local secondary schools; opening the Qayum Nasyri Center (a special institution for the promotion of Tatar language and culture); and advanced training courses for Kyrgyzstani teachers and doctors.

In particular, during yesterday’s meeting, the sides reached an understanding considering possible agreements with Salymbekov University and Issyk-Kul State University, two of the leading Kyrgyzstani universities, in IT and program engineering.
