Rector Ilshat Gafurov met with Director of the United Nations Information Center in Moscow Vladimir Kuznetsov

The talks occurred on June 30.

Vladimir Kuznetsov expressed praise for Kazan University’s Model UN. He mentioned that the United Nations Association of Russia and the Information Center are willing to provide support for this unique discussion platform.

As part of the meeting, the sides agreed to involve KFU into the Sustainable Development Goals Lab, a facility planned for opening in Moscow to assist in implementing UN’s Sustainable Development Goals.

Kuznetsov explained that sustainable development implies harmonizing the development of present and future generations. He opined that KFU’s extensive experience will be of use in relevant activities.

The University also plans to establish a UN study lab.
