Andrey Pominov introduced as Acting Director of the Institute of Physics

Rector Lenar Safin informed the team during today’s morning briefing.
The Rector said, “Andrey Ivanovich doesn’t need a special introduction. He graduated from Kazan State University in 1980 with a degree in radio physics and electronics. Worked as an engineer and a research associate at the Faculty of Physics and has a candidate of sciences degree in physics and mathematics. Since 2014, he worked as First Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Tatarstan. Let’s wish Andrey Ivanovich success in his new endeavor. I am sure that with his wise guidance the Institute will continue to to play an important role in teaching talented physicists.”
Apart from KFU, Dr Pominov received various advanced training certificates from the Academy of Advanced Training and Professional Retraining of Education Workers, Russian Academy of National Economy and Public Administration, Sberbank Corporate University, and Innopolis University.
Class rank – Full State Counselor of the Republic of Tatarstan, 1st class.
