Rais of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and Rector of KFU Lenar Safin visit opening ceremony of medical simulation center at Jizzakh Branch

The dignitaries visited KFU’s Uzbekistani campus on 24 April.

Also in attendance were Governor of Jizzakh Region Ergash Saliev, Director of Jizzakh Branch Marat Umarov, and others.

The Rector noted, “The opening of this simulation center is an important step in creating a comprehensive academic environment for future medical doctors. Thanks to this new simulation equipment, the students can unceasingly hone their practical skills without any risk for patients.”

The Center comprises a main simulation room, lab rooms, and a simulation pharmacy.

The simulation room contains separate boxes with various simulators, such as injection, stomach lavage, ultrasound, endoscopy, endovascular surgery, and others. The lab complex includes a dental office, a dental preparation room, two chemical laboratories, and an anatomical museum.

At this moment, the Jizzakh Branch houses 259 students, of which 145 are students of medicine – in general medicine, dentistry, biochemistry, and pharmacy.

The Tatarstani delegation also partook in an opening ceremony of a technology park in Jizzakh, a project based on previous agreeements between Rais of Tatarstan and President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev. The park aims to accommodate at least 36 resident companies with over 1,100 jobs.
