Rector Lenar Safin contributes to 6th Russia-Iran Forum of Rectors

The RIFR is being organized by Moscow State University on 27 and 28 April.

Commenting on the event, the Rector said, “Kazan Federal University sees cooperation with Iran as a priority in its international development. The language of science and education is the best instrument of mutual understanding. We have partners in five leading Iranian universities. Our cooperation comprises energy, engineering, materials science, chemistry, physics, astronomy, mathematics, biology, social studies, and Earth sciences.”

Iranian students are sizably represented at KFU with 1,148 persons in all levels of education, with steep growth in the last few years.

During the forum, KFU signed memoranda of understanding with the University of Tehran and Sharif University of Technology.

Furthermore, an agreeement was signed with Allameh Tabataba’i University on organizing testing in Russian as a foreign language. A student exchange agreeement was concluded with Shahid Beheshti University.

Protocols were signed with Iranian universities on access rights to KFU’s Studerus online learning platform.

The forum includes sessions dedicated to academic mobility, humanitarian links, research collaborations, and Caspian studies.
