Rector Lenar Safin met with Sibur Holding executives
The delegation, headed by General Director of Sibur-RT (the company’s affiliate in Tatarstan) Aleksey Nikiforov, arrived on 17 April.
The meeting was joined by Vice-Rector for Earth Sciences Danis Nurgaliev, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Yekaterina Turilova, Vice-Rector for Digital Transformation and Innovation Dmitry Pashin, and Sibur employees.

The sides discussed educational and research projects. Rector Safin noted, “Sibur is one of our important partners, and we are eager to promote further ties. We can offer a number of programs in various fields, but we are also ready to prepare build-to-suit programs, including those in advanced training, to cater to your company’s contemporary needs.”
Mr Nikiforov replied that Sibur is currently headhunting on the local job market – for both experienced professionals and current interning students, “Our demand for young specialists is for our three assets in Tatarstan – Sibur-RT, Kazanorgsintez, and NKNK. We are in close cooperation with universities and offer training to our staff. We have big plans for the recruitment of engineers and technicians, and we are interested in KFU’s lab infrastructure and study programs.”

KFU has already been commissioned by Sibur for some research projects, including those involving catalysts. Sibur employees are frequent guests at recruitment meetings with students, speaking about internship and job opportunities.
