Rector Lenar Safin’s address on Russian Science Day
Dear colleagues! Dear teachers, students and PhD researchers of Kazan Federal University!
I cordially congratulate you on your professional holiday – the Russian Science Day!
Science opens new horizons for the well-being of mankind and is the basis for development and growth. And today, on this wonderful day of knowledge and discoveries, we want to express words of gratitude and respect to all those who have devoted their lives to scientific and research activities, who are involved in the formation of the intellectual potential of our country.
At all times, national science has been the main driving force of progress, the most important component of the national wealth, and a powerful resource for the development of various sectors of the economy.
However, behind all significant discoveries have always stood and continue to stand people – scientists of research centers and universities, whose hard work, inquisitive mind and scope of ideas help to make life more perfect.
Our university is one of the oldest educational institutions in Russia. For more than two centuries, it has been supporting and developing its famous scientific schools. Outstanding scientists of Kazan University have brought great benefit not only to the country, but also to the whole world. And I am sure that the main achievements are still ahead!
The modern generation of scientific talents, our young scientists and graduate students, successfully continue the glorious traditions of their predecessors. The University has passed a long way of transformations, and these transformations have certainly brought us to a new level of work on the path of scientific research.
Friends! Thank you for your daily hard work, unique ideas and projects, for the courage of experiments non-standard approaches! All this gives results the importance of which can hardly be overestimated.
On Russian Science Day I would like to congratulate you all once again and wish you successful creative search, innovative ideas, research excitement, and bright achievements!
