Russia-Africa in the 21st Century Conference held on Africa Day

The forum was conducted by KFU’s International Office on May 25.
Among the invited participants were Honorary Consul of Namibia in Kazan, Professor Alexander Mezyaev and Honorary President of the Association of International Students in Russia Yao Nicaise Adou.
Vice-Rector for International Cooperation Timirkhan Alishev said in his greeting, “Africa is one of the most dynamically developing continents with a billion people. The continent has great prospects, and Kazan University is interested in it.”
The participants covered various issues of Russia’s economic, social and cultural ties with African countries.
KFU has a special roadmap to expand its cooperation with Africa and regularly holds many thematic events, such as Russia-Africa Conference, Africa Days at Kazan University, Mosaic of Peoples Festival and others.
