Kazan Federal University establishes new partnerships and moves to deepen existing ties at ROSTKI Russia-China Forum 2025
The 3rd business forum promoting links between the two nations was held at Expo Kazan and other venues on 18 and 19 August. As usual, KFU was one of the most active contributors.
In particular, our university and the Institute for the Community with a Shared Future of the Communication University of China arranged an arts exhibition near the entrance of Expo Kazan.
On day one, KFU served as the organizer of the Educational and Scientific Cooperation between Russia and China: New Projects and Development Trends panel session. International participants included Vice-Rector of Dezhou University Li Jialiang, Director of the Institute for the Community with a Shared Future of the Communication University of China Li Huailiang, and International Program Coordinator of the Hanoi University of Mining and Geology Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao. The session was moderated by Vice-Rector of KFU for International Affairs Timirkhan Alishev.
On the same day, Vice-Rector Alishev joined a meeting between Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and Chairman of the Shandong Academy of Social Sciences Tang Zhouyan; the latter had visited KFU earlier in the morning.
On Monday, KFU also signed cooperation memoranda with Dezhou University and the Communication University of China.
The next day, the delegation of the Communication University of China visited KFU’s Institute of International Relations, where the two sides discussed a potential establishment of a joint research center.
During the days of the forum, KFU was visited by numerous other guests, including the Chairman of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference of Hubei Province Sun Wei, Head of the Secretariat of the CPPCC of Hubei Tu Yuanchao, General Director of the Office of International Affairs of Hubei Zhang Xiaomei, Vice-Rector for Research of the Hanoi University of Mining and Geology Nguyen The Vinh, Professor of Yangtze University Xu Peng, and others.
