Summer employment planned for nearly 400 students
Since the beginning of the pandemic in early 2020, KFU’s special employment program has involved 243 students.
Before year-end of 2020, 171 students in total were offered temporary jobs. This year, the University aims to increase this number to 370.
Student employment is traditionally concentrated in several professional areas. In particular, tutor squads are busy at children’s summer camps (mostly in Krasnodar Krai and Tatarstan), construction workers are directed to Vologda Oblast, service industry positions can be found in Crimea, and train conductor posts are offered by Russian Railways across the country.
Of the 243 individuals employed under the auspices of the program so far, 15 are international students. The job titles are very different and comprise IT, hotel industry, call centers, construction work, sales, museums, tourist industry, teaching and tutoring, banking, real estate, media, marketing, translation and interpretation, and HR.
