University to offer new graduate and postgraduate courses in biotechnology and bioengineering
The Institute of Environmental Sciences starts offering the course since autumn 2022.
Director of the IES Svetlana Selivanovskaya comments, “Biotechnology has been rapidly developing as a research area at KFU for several years. We have implemented a number of projects, including those involving students. We are ready to introduce a full course of biotechnology with a top-notch equipment infrastructure, internships with industry leaders, and much more.”
Biotechnologists are in very high demand in healthcare, environmental research, food production, energy industry, agriculture, aquaculture, and forestry. Biotechnologists function as both researchers and engineers with advanced knowledge of molecular biology, genetic engineering, and many other adjacent disciplines.
