University toured by Minister of Industry and Energy of Kyrgyzstan Kubanychbek Turdubaev
He was accompanied by Rector Ilshat Gafurov.
Also joining the meeting were Vice-Rector for International Cooperation Timirkhan Alishev, Vice-Rector for Research Danis Nurgaliev, and Vice-Rector for Education Dmitry Tayursky.
“We’d like to inquire into cooperation opportunities in oil prospecting, extraction, refining, in various training formats and other possible directions of our work,” said Turdubaev.
After getting familiarized with the Institute of Geology and Petroleum Technologies, the Minister noted, “From what we’ve discussed today – even if we just implement 25% of that, it will be a breakthrough. I’ve had wonderful impression of the university and your educators. I understand that there is some targeted work.”
As Director of the Institute of Geology Danis Nurgaliev noted, Kyrgyzstan need technological and personnel advancements to produce more petroleum. Kazan University has what it takes to provide exactly that.
