University’s Botanical Garden toured by Rector Ilshat Gafurov
KFU is going to welcome a seminar on the development of botanical gardens on July 6 – 8, 2021.
In the course of preparations for the seminar, Rector Gafurov visited the Garden’s dendrarium, warmhouses, classrooms and service facilities.
As a result, a decision was made to renovate some of the infrastructure and the premises. The Rector also ordered to put forth a roadmap for a further development of the Botanical Garden.
The Garden is currently listed as a federal-level natural reserve and occupies 3.4 hectares. It has collections of both open and closed soils with subplots of tropical and subtropical flora.
The University now has necessary capabilities to conduct botanical and physiological research and classes.
