VIII Summer School ‘Youth Engagement for Human Rights’

The event is hosted by KFU on June 28 – July 4.

It is a part of an inter-university master program in international protection of human rights implemented under the auspices of the Office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia.

The opening ceremony was joined by Rector Ilshat Gafurov, High Commissioner for Human Rights in Russia Tatyana Moskalkova, Commissioner for Human Rights in Tatarstan Sariya Saburskaya, and others.

The Summer School comprises lectures, seminars, presentations, roundtables, film screenings, and a competition of the Model European Court of Human Rights.

One of the roundtables unites provincial commissioners for human rights in Russia in discussing their role in achieving UN Sustainable Development goals.

Over 200 students from Russia and neighboring countries can talk with invited lecturers and contributors from the United Nations, European Court of Human Rights, European Inter-University Center, and other organizations.
