Visit by the Embassy of the Federative Republic of Brazil in Russia

The guests toured KFU on May 20.

The two visitors were First Secretary, Head of the Department of Public Diplomacy, Culture and Education Alvaro Galvani and Attaché Gabriele Guadagnin. After walking through the KFU History Museum, they spoke with journalists.

“We arrived to advance cooperation in Portuguese language and culture. There is a special program supported by the Ministry of Education of Brazil that includes sponsorships for lecturers arriving to Russian universities to teach Portuguese. We want KFU to join this program,” said Secretary Galvani.

At this time, Kazan University has links with the Aquarium of Sao Paulo in a program of introducing polar bears into regions with non-Arctic climates.

As the diplomats shared, they also want to invite students to join an online program in diplomacy in August 2021, co-hosted by the University of Sao Paulo and International Academy of Science.

In conclusion, the visitors sat down to talk with Vice-Rector for International Cooperation Timirkhan Alishev and Counsellor to the Rector Linar Latypov.
