Visit to Issyk-Kul State University

KFU delegation arrived to another Kyrgyzstani city on June 11.

Rector of KFU Ilshat Gafurov and Rector of IKSU Askar Imanbaev discussed research and education opportunities.

“We have a serious lack of staff in medicine, psychology, and teaching; and we are very interested in implementing joint program in these areas with one of the best Russian universities,” noted Mr. Imanbaev.

He also said that IKSU had had experience in working in 2+2 and 3+1 undergraduate formats with Russian universities and is ready to implement the same framework with Kazan University.

The sides agreed to conduct a series of webinars to deepen mutual understanding of potential cooperation benefits.

IKSU has links with over 50 overseas institutions, including joint study programs.
