We Are Together kindergarten, part of Kazan Federal University, starts work in Kazan

The institution for kids with autism spectrum disorders opened doors on Knowledge Day, 1 September.

The ceremony was attended by President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education of Russia Pyotr Kucherenko, and Rector Ilshat Gafurov.

The delegation visited the kindergarten’s psychology office, logopedics office, family consultation office, science lab, and exercise therapy class.

This new facility aims to provide comprehensive support to children with ASDs and their families. The project’s uniqueness is in combining the efforts of kindergarten employees and KFU researchers. Educational services are provided by special needs therapists, psychologists, logopedists, tutors, and physicians.

The kindergarten’s current capacity is 50 children, with groups of no more than 5 persons each, for ages from 3 to 7 years. Apart from that, about 70 families will receive longitudinal support services.
