Deputy Minister of Youth, Employment and Citizen Building of Senegal Mamadou Diop gives lecture at KFU

He is in Kazan to attend the Russia – Islamic World KazanForum 2023.

The Deputy Minister arrived in the Institute of International Relations on 16 May. He was greeted by Deputy Director of the Institute Albina Imamutdinova.

At a French language classroom, the students were given the opportunity to ask questions. One of them pertained to differences between Russian and Senegalese educational systems. Mamadou Diop answered than in Senegal, the studies of internation relations always start with international law, and specialization is only given during later years.

The students were also interested in the activities of the Ministry of Youth, Employment and Citizen Building. Mr Diop responded that the Ministry aims to support youth initiatives and moral education. Much attention is paid to international projects.

Rather expectedly, the topic of football weaseled in the conversation, given the sport’s immense popularity in Senegal. The guest was glad to speak about the national team’s participation the 2022 World Cup.

Finally, the sides expressed hope that student exchange between the two countries grows steadily. The Deputy Minister had high praise for the audience’s mastery of French language.
