Indo-Russian Education Summit 2024 features KFU delegates
The big forum in New Delhi was held on 11 – 13 April.
The Education Summit is the first large-scale event in the history of Russian-Indian educational relations. The summit included panel discussions, round tables with Russian and Indian universities, presentations of startups from Russian universities, and visits to Indian universities.
Kazan Federal University was represented at the event by Oksana Polyakova, Deputy Director for International Affairs of the Institute of Management, Economics and Finance, and Albina Valeeva, Deputy Director for International Affairs of the Institute of Fundamental Medicine and Biology.
During the summit, an exhibition titled Russian Education 2024 was organized to popularize Russian education in India.
“About 60 Russian universities presented their programs at the exhibition. Schoolchildren and students got acquainted with the opportunities for higher education in Russia, admission and employment conditions. Indian schoolchildren show great interest in medicine, engineering, aviation, management, aerospace industry, and nuclear technologies,” informed Valeeva.
Oksana Polyakova noted the growing demand for management and joint programs with Russian universities, as well as the interest in further employment in Russia.
In addition to Russian universities, the summit was attended by local officials, employees Indian universities, and businesspersons, as well employees of the Russian Embassy in India and the Indian Embassy in Moscow, representatives of Rossotrudnichestvo and the Russian House in New Delhi.
As of now, 125 Indian citizens are studying at Kazan University.
