President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited KFU’s Jizzakh Branch




He arrived to Jizzakh on 10 February.
During the tour, the head of state got acquainted with the Branch’s current affairs. After looking at the facilities, he opined that the Branch needs an additional building and further infrastructure funding.
The Jizzakh Branch opened for students in October 2022 and is the first overseas affiliate of Kazan Federal University. It is located on the premises of a former air force school.
The Branch offers programs in machine industry, geology, software engineering, economics, jouralism, management, languages, medical biochemistry, general medicine, pharmacy, and dentistry.
