Rector joins opening ceremony of preparatory courses in Shandong Province

The KFU delegation visited Jinan, Shandong, during its weeklong visit to the People’s Republic of China, and met with representatives of the Shandong University of Traditional Chinese Medicine.

The two sides partook in the opening ceremony which involves two institutions – SUTCM and Heze Language School.

There are two formats of the preparatory course – one semester each in Russia and China and full year in China. In the first case, the students first study the basics and Russian language and then start learning specialized subjects in Kazan.

Similar courses were opened by KFU and several schools in Sichuan Province in 2019.

After the ceremony, the two universities signed a memorandum of understanding to strengthen cooperation in research and education.

In conclusion, Rector Lenar Safin met with Russian-speaking students and teachers and answered their questions.
