Rector Lenar Safin meets Mayor of Jizzakh Komil Kholmurodov

The two officials held talks on 29 July.

The Uzbekistani delegation visited Kazan to study digitization of municipal governance and educational policies.

During the meeting, Rector Safin and Mayor Kholmurodov touched on humanitarian and educational cooperation between the two countries. Dr Safin mentioned that KFU has extensive links with Uzbekistani universities, and its first overseas branch opened in 2022 in Jizzakh.

Mr Kholmurodov had words of praise about the University’s research and teaching potential and assured that his administration is going to support Jizzakh Branch’s activities.

The sides agreed to further deepen collaboration, including projects in medicine and IT.
