Representatives of the Shanghai Medical Innovation Center visited Kazan Federal University

During their visit, the delegation got acquainted with the Department of Morphology and General Pathology, as well as the laboratories and Simulation Center of the Institute of Fundamental Medicine and Biology.
The delegation included Vice President of the Shanghai Medical Innovation Center Qing Chen and co-founder of the Center Tan Yanle.
At KFU, colleagues from China were met by Director of the Institute of Fundamental Medicine and Biology Andrey Kiyasov, Deputy Director for Research Rashat Faizullin, Deputy Director for International Affairs Albina Valeeva, Chair of the Department of Experimental Surgery and Simulation Medicine (Simulation Center) Almaz Garayev.
As Andrey Kiyasov noted, one of the goals of the visit of the representatives of the Shanghai Medical Innovation Center was to get acquainted with the Department of Morphology and General Pathology.
“All Chinese textbooks say that pathological physiology originates in Kazan. This is actually true. In addition, European and Western countries teach one general subject, pathology. We have this specific division into pathological physiology and pathological anatomy. Therefore, colleagues expressed a desire to visit our university,” the Director said.
“Many medical universities in China have faculties of pathophysiology. We would like to establish close international cooperation with KFU in this area,” Qing Chen noted.
