University visited by Chinese educational officials and managers

The visit took place on April 26.

KFU was represented by Olga Vershinina, Director of the International Office.

The Chinese delegation included: Chairman, Vice President of the Association of Educational Institutions and Enterprises of Zhuhai College of Beijing Institute of Technology, Professor Hu Yaling, President of the Association of Vocational and Technical Education of Guangdong Province, Special Appointed Advisor of the People’s Government of Guangdong Province, President of the Association of Ideological and Political Studies of Guangdong Universities Li Xiaolu, Head of the Board of Directors of Hengshui Taocheng Educational Institution Zhang Fuqian, and representatives of Zhuhai Yanxuetang Educational Technology. The company is a partner of the round table Investments in Education: Opportunities and Prospects for International Cooperation at the 18th Russian Venture Forum in Kazan. The company specializes in providing educational services aimed at improving the efficiency and quality of education.

The was given a tour of the History Museum, where the guests learned about the milestones in the development of the 220-year-old university.

Then Ms Vershinina moved on to a presentation, paying special attention to its strategic projects in the Priority 2030 program.

The meeting continued with the planning of cooperation in the implementation of preparatory programs for foreign applicants, where students master, first of all, the Russian language, as well as other subjects of the school program with the purpose of further admission to Russian universities. Rauf Sabirov, Lecturer of the Department of General Educational Disciplines of the Preparatory School of KFU, also took part in the discussion. Representatives of the university familiarized their Chinese colleagues with the methods of preparing foreigners for admission. The members of the delegation, in turn, proposed a model of joint training of Chinese applicants.

At the end of the visit, both parties expressed interest in developing cooperation in this are, and the guests from China thanked Kazan University for a warm welcome.

Over 1,900 Chinese citizens are studying at Kazan University this academic year. The University actively cooperates with 36 scientific and educational organizations of the People’s Republic of China. In 2024 so far, KFU has signed cooperation agreements with Peking University, Guangzhou Institute of Science and Technology, Guangdong University of Finance and Economics, Wuhan University, Hubei University, Jilin University and Chongqing University of Science and Technology.
