University visited by Deputy Minister of Higher Education of Afghanistan Lutfulla Hayrhwa

He was one of the participants of Russia – Islamic World KazanForum 2023.

The Deputy Minister and his colleague, Charge d’Affairs of the Embassy of Afghanistan in Russia Nazar Mohammad Erfan, were greeted and accompanied by Vice-Rector for International Affairs Timirkhan Alishev.

Afghanistan is in urgent need of trained professionals in many spheres, including medicine, engineering, and computer science. Naturally, teacher education of all levels is also very pertinent. The sides discussed such training at KFU’s Jizzakh Branch in Uzbekistan, which would be convenient for Afghanistani colleagues logistics-wise. An agreement was reached to further draft a document with the Ministry of Higher Education for such cooperation.

Currently, KFU hosts 27 Afghanistani nationals in all educational programs.
