University welcomes Ambassador of Senegal to Russia Jean-Baptiste Tine




The guest arrived on 9 November.
He was greeted by First Vice-Rector Dmitry Tayursky and Director of the International Office Olga Vershinina.
Ambassador Tine toured the History Museum and listened to a KFU presentation by Vice-Rector Tayursky. After the meeting, the Ambassador commented, “The Republic of Senegal is developing cooperation with Tatarstan in industry, agriculture, and education. I really wanted to visit Kazan Federal University and to talk with my compatriots. Your university is indeed a paragon of high-quality education.”
As of now, KFU has one Senegalese student; there are also several Senegalese nationals enrolled in other educational institutions in the city.
During his three-day visit to Kazan, Ambassador Tine met with President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, toured the National Library, Innopolis City, and spoke with local official at the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of Tatarstan and the Ministry of Education and Science of Tatarstan.
