University welcomes Embassy of Libya delegation
Ambassador to Russia Emhemed Almaghrawi and his colleagues visited on 6 February.
The team comprised Attaché for Financial Affairs Ramzy Almiri, Attaché for Academic Cooperation Abubaker Awinat, and Ambassador of Russia to Libya Aydar Aganin. They were accompanied by Vice-Rector for International Affairs Timirkhan Alishev.

The guests toured KFU’s Medical Simulation Center and listened to the Vice-Rector’s presentation. Dr Alishev mentioned KFU’s priorities and academic leadership initiatives, including Priority 2030 and its strategic project in genomic and post-genomic technology and biological literacy.

Ambassador Almaghrawi thanked the hosts for the hospitality and said that Russia is one of the seven countries included in Libya’s government-funded overseas healthcare coverage for complex cases. Attaché Awinat noted that KFU and Libyan universities should ponder creating a joint general medicine program.
As of now, KFU is a home for five Libyan students.
