Open Doors Olympiad closes first stage, admits over 8 thousand people to the second

The results were published on the official website on 23 December.

Overall, 56 thousand overseas applicants joined the first stage, and 7 thousand of them marked Kazan Federal University as their desired destination.

The Olympiad is organized for foreign nationals by Russia’s Association of Global Universities, of which KFU is a member.

There are 14 specialization tracks; the competition is conducted in Russian and English languages. The winners receive full scholarships to study in Russia from the federal government.

The second stage will feature 8,273 participants and take place in January 2023.

The Open Doors Olympiad has been held since 2017; during that time, 2,800 young people from outside Russia have been winners.
