Minister of Youth Affairs Rinat Sadykov meets Summer University participants

The meeting on 14 July was attended by more than 170 young people from 12 countries.

Kazan University was represented by Vice-Rector for International Affairs Timirkhan Alishev. He welcomed the Minister and expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to meet with the participants of the Summer University 2024.

The event began with an open dialog: the participants were able to share their goals and plans for the future, their experience of participation in youth projects, and vivid impressions of Kazan.

Then Rinat Sadykov told the audience about the work with student youth, major student projects and programs.

“It is important for us that every young person sees the Republic as a platform of opportunities, a place where you can get a decent education, a job, start a family, participate in various activities. Thanks to the support of the leadership of Tatarstan, these opportunities are becoming more and more prominent every year – attention is paid to infrastructure, social welfare, conditions are created for scientific, creative self-realization, development of entrepreneurial activity, and others. Among other things, we are interested in the fact that students who come from other regions and countries stay with us in the future,” he said.

The head of the Ministry also emphasized that at present the Republic’s leadership attaches great importance to grant support for youth initiatives, intercultural and international cooperation. It should be noted that Tatarstan acted as a platform for the Global Youth Summit and the Youth Scientific Congress of the OIC countries.

After the meeting, the participants of the Summer University took part in master classes on public speaking and youth volunteering, as well as visited Sviyazhsk and the KFU Planetarium.
