Minister of Science and Higher Education of Russia visits Kazan Federal University

This was a part of his biduous trip to Tatarstan.

“Kazan Federal University is a pillar. It is a leader of higher education of Tatarstan and one of the best universities in Russia,” noted the Minister. “Apart from its traditional objectives, such as teaching and research, it also has an integrating function, one aimed at helping other universities of the region to maintain momentum.”

Valery Falkov previously contributed to a meeting of advanced engineering schools in Naberezhnye Chelny. He also spoke with Rais (Governor) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov.

The Minister emphasized that cooperation with industrial partners helps improve educational content and make it more practice-oriented.

“The first serious effect of advanced engineering schools is, of course, tighter coordination of our universities with business and the industry,” he said.
