Description, major courses | This program is the first and so far unique program in Russia focused on supporting the subjects of the educational process in children’s and youth sports schools and sports training centers. This is a specific training that differs in tasks and goals from the training of a “sports psychologist” in the sphere of top performance sports. The tasks of a pedagogue-psychologist at Children’s and Youth Sports Schools and Sports Training Centers are psychological support: – children from 3 to 18 years of age involved in sports training, on the issues of personal development and self-regulation, correction of anxiety and fears, setting up for success and increasing the effectiveness of activities, improving self-esteem and self-confidence, interpersonal communication, group interaction, correction of relations with parents and coach, professional self-determination, etc; – coaches of children’s and youth sports schools on psychological, pedagogical and communicative competence and effective interaction with children, diagnostics and development of sports team cohesion, prevention of professional burnout, regulation of young athlete’s states; – parents on the problems of combining educational and sports career of the child, psychological support of the child in sports, the features of the personality of a gifted child and effective interaction with him/her, etc. The disciplines and modules of the curriculum are aimed at mastering: – psychodiagnostics in children’s and youth sports and socio-psychological support of athlete training; – Theories and techniques of psychological counseling in sports; – diagnosis and regulation of mental states, psychohygiene of the personality of the athlete and coach; – the basics of psychological support of training, competition and post-competition processes for young athletes; – psychology of children’s sports teams, team building technologies; – skills in developing and conducting psychological training sessions with athletes and coaches; – art-therapeutic technologies in children’s and youth sports; – support of the gender development of personality in sport; – design of psychological and pedagogical research and data processing methods.
