Cooperation agreement signed by Kazan Federal University and Association of Unions of Writers and Publishers of Russia
The signing took place on 5 April.
The signatories were Rector Lenar Safin and Chairman of AUWPR, Deputy Chairman of the Committee for Culture of the State Duma (lower chamber of Russia’s Federal Assembly) Sergey Shargunov. Present at the ceremony were Counselor to the President of Russia Vladimir Tolstoy and Vice-Rector of Moscow State University Tatyana Kortava.
The sides agreed to partner up in educational and cultural activities, including, in particular, bachelor program in publishing business and master program in creative writing.
The event was a part of the International Forum on Russian Language and Literature as Means for the Shaping of Russian Identity and International Integration.
The program in creative writing is just the third such project in Russia, after the Higher School of Economics and Saint-Petersburg State University. The first admission season is going to take place in the summer of 2023.
