Class President of the Year knows how to maintain amicable relations among students

Lilia Tagirova was one of the winners of this year’s Student of the Year in Tatarstan awards.
Tagirova was class president in high school, so she immediately nominated herself for the same position when a question of elections arose during her freshman year at KFU.
“I am very lucky with my class, as they support all my suggestions for our joint activities. In my first year, I suggested that we take part in the Best Class of KFU competition. Then we could not pass to the full-time stage, but it only gave us more motivation to move on. And in the second year, we took second place in this competition,” she says.
During their third year, Tagirova’s class was victorious and won a group trip to Saint Petersburg.
The classmates like to partake in athletic events, picnics, to visit museums, theaters and movies.
“This is a small part of the activities that helps me to maintain a warm and friendly atmosphere in the group. We also participate in many competitions and conferences. If one person speaks for us, all the others come and support him. Such small steps unite the group,” continues the class president.
Tagirova also mentions volunteering. For instance, every fall the guys help to clean the territory of the local Center for Disabled Children. They also assist in various university events.
The interviewee likes to borrow experience from her peers, so she often attends class president meetings and training sessions. She emphasizes that KFU really provides all the necessary conditions for personal growth.
“By the senior year, I had accumulated a lot of experience, and now joint activities with the group are bearing great fruit. Therefore, when I saw the start of the application campaign for the provincial award, I decided to participate. I thought that regardless of the final result it would be a great experience for me. And when I learned about my victory, I was very surprised and delighted,” concludes the student.
