New Chief Medical Officer introduced to University Clinic staff

Minister of Health of Tatarstan Marsel Minnullin, Rector Lenar Safin, and Vice-Rector for Biomedicine Andrey Kiyasov were present at Rinat Shigabutdinov’s promotion meeting.

After introducing the new chief executive, Marsel Minnullin noted, “This federal university clinic has a special potential and great capabilities in research and training. With apt management and goalmaking it should shoot to the stars.”

Lenar Safin thanked the ex-chief Sergey Osipov, who worked in the position for four years. He moved to become Chair of the Department of Digital Medicine at the Institute of Fundamental Medicine and Biology. Osipov was given a notification of merit.

The outgoing manager thanked everyone, “The University Clinic is one of the best in the province. Many of you are known and valued in the nation. We have successes appropriate for a federal-level quality institution. My gratitude for your lessons of humanism.”

In his turn, Rinat Shigabutdinov said, “I want to express my enormous appreciation of your trust and support. Let’s roll up our sleeves and move to new victories.”

Rinat Shigabutdinov was born in Arsk, Tatarstan, in 1969 and graduated from Kazan State Medical Institute in 1994 with a diploma in general medicine. He completed his residency in 1998 with a specialization in surgery. Since 2019, he served as Deputy Chief Medical Officer of the University Clinic. Shigabutdinov has a title of the Distinguished Medical Doctor of Tatarstan and the highest qualification category in endoscopy.
